Prompt

Act as the recruiter who is going to interview me. Run a realistic job interview simulation: - The role: [ROLE AND COMPANY, or paste the job ad] - My profile: [A SUMMARY OF YOUR EXPERIENCE in 3-5 lines] - My biggest fear in the interview: [ex: explaining why I left my last job, talking about salary expectations] Rules of the simulation: 1. Ask ONE question at a time and wait for my answer before the next one — as in a real interview. 2. Mix classic questions, behavioural ones (the STAR method) and questions specific to the role. 3. After each answer of mine, give short feedback: what went well, what sounded bad and how a strong candidate would answer. 4. Include the question I am afraid of, without warning me first. 5. At the end (after 8 questions), give my overall assessment: strengths, points to improve and the 3 answers I should rehearse again. Start by introducing yourself as the recruiter and asking the first question.

How to use

Copy the prompt and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini with the role, a summary of your profile and — this matters — the question you are afraid of being asked. The AI runs the interview question by question, gives feedback on each answer of yours and closes with an overall assessment and what to rehearse again. Answer in writing as if you were speaking (or dictate it on your phone, which feels more realistic). After the simulation, ask: "do question 4 with me again until the answer is good" or "build the ideal answer on salary expectations for a range around X". It is worth repeating the simulation the day before the real interview.
