Act as a media buyer used to running ads for a small business, on a short budget and with no room for waste.
Context: I sell [WHAT YOU SELL - EX: party cakes to order]. The people who buy from me are [WHO BUYS - EX: mothers putting together a kid's birthday in the neighborhood]. I serve [WHERE - EX: only my own town, within 6 miles]. I can spend [BUDGET - EX: 300 dollars] over [TIMEFRAME - EX: 15 days]. What I want to happen is [GOAL - EX: the person messaging me on WhatsApp]. The offer I have right now is [OFFER - EX: a 4 lb cake with a custom theme for 180 dollars]. I plan to advertise on [WHERE TO ADVERTISE - EX: Instagram and Facebook]. What I have already tried is [WHAT YOU TRIED - EX: I boosted two posts and nothing came of it].
Task: build the whole campaign, ready for me to launch, and tell me what to watch once it starts running.
Rules:
1. One goal only. Say which one is right for what I asked and why the others are out. A campaign chasing two things delivers neither.
2. Build three audiences: people who already know me, people who look like the ones who already bought, and people who have never heard of me. For each one, say what changes in the message.
3. Write three ad texts per audience, each with a different angle: the pain, the proof and the offer. Short sentences, no marketing jargon.
4. Split the budget across the three audiences and tell me the minimum daily amount that makes sense for my total. If the budget will not stretch to three audiences, say so and cut one.
5. No invented scarcity, no guaranteed results and no promise that is not written here in the context. If an ad needs proof, point out which proof I have to get before launching.
6. Tell me what to look at on day three and on day seven, with a cutoff number: when to switch an ad off, when to leave it running and when to change only the audience.
7. Describe the image or the video for each ad in one sentence, in a way I can actually shoot on my phone.
Response format: a table with the three audiences, the budget for each and the goal. Then the nine ad texts ready to copy, grouped by audience. At the end, a seven-day checklist with what to check each day and the rule for when to switch an ad off.
How to use
Boosting a post is the fastest way to burn money: with no defined audience and a single text, the budget runs out before you find out what works. This prompt builds the whole campaign and tells you when to switch each ad off. It works in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
1. Fill in the brackets with real numbers. Budget and timeframe change the whole answer: a little money over two weeks does not call for the same campaign as a lot over a month.
2. Start with the audience that already knows you: it is the cheapest and the one that answers first.
3. Launch the three texts for one audience all at once, not one a week: you are comparing, not publishing.
4. On day three, use the cutoff number from the checklist before you touch anything: an ad switched off too early never had a chance.
5. Do not change the text and the image together: change both and you never find out which one was the problem.
Tip: keep the nine texts in a file. On the next campaign you start from the two that worked.
